Brandon Sheridan Shafer

Brandon Shafer, 46, of Indianapolis, passed away February 9, 2026. He was born on January 8, 1980, in Indianapolis to Ty Shafer and Teresa Wells Shafer.

During his high school years, Brandon was an outstanding soccer player. He was known for his sharp intelligence, quick wit, and an unforgettable sense of humor that could brighten any room. Brandon loved the outdoors, and found joy in adventure, camping, and exploring the world around him. Whether chasing a soccer ball, setting up camp, or seeking the next thrill on a roller coaster, Brandon lived with enthusiasm and an open heart.

Family meant everything to Brandon, and he loved deeply. He especially enjoyed giving haircuts to his brother and nephew, a role he took seriously, even if the results were sometimes questionable but always entertaining. Brandon had a playful spirit and a big heart, and he cherished time spent with those he loved.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Sarah Heighway and uncle, Ken Wells.

Survivors include his son, Caden Shafer; parents, Ty Shafer and Teresa Shafer; sister, Brandy Shafer; brother, Taylor (Roxy) Shafer; several nieces and nephews who brought him great joy.

Brandon’s life, though far too short, was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the smiles he inspired, and the deep love he gave so freely.

A Celebration of Life to honor Brandon will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 1-4pm in The Green Room at Federal Hill Commons, 107 Logan Street, Noblesville, 46060.
