Bonnie Louise was born on July 4, 1927, to Harry and Gladys Clappison in Arion, IA. When she was a child, she thought that the 4th of July fireworks were in honor of her birthday.

She married Jerry N Kincaid in May of 1979. Jerry died October 15, 2012.

She was active in her children’s activities and was a scouting leader for each of them in the Cub Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She loved to play the ukulele, and played and sang at many scouting functions. Her interests outside of her children’s activities included tatting, sewing, crossword puzzles and scrabble. Bonnie was an avid reader, and was always reading a new book on her Kindle. She also enjoyed the theater; her interest in acting started with the Iowa State Players and, most recently, she participated in the Prime Life Follies of Carmel.
