Beverly June (Wilson) McMillan Marvel, 95, of Carmel, IN, passed into the presence of the Lord on July 8, 2026. She was born February 1,1931 in Cutler, IN to Sherman and Hilda (Enoch) Wilson. She grew up in church but committed her life to Jesus Christ as an adult after hearing the gospel clearly from her son, Tom.
After graduating from Broad Ripple High School in 1949, she attended Indiana Business College and then worked as a supervisor at a chemical production plant.
She married Paul Eugene McMillan on August 4, 1950. Following Paul’s death in 2009, she married William F. Marvel on January 5, 2013.
Beverly enjoyed gardening, berry-picking, mushroom hunting, and serving in various ministries at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, where she was a member for more than 50 years. Anyone who knew Beverly knew she loved her Savior dearly. She will be well remembered for her intense love for her children and grandchildren, her faithful prayers, and her encouraging words.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul McMillan, her second husband, William Marvel, and three of her four children; Thomas E. McMillan, Lawrence J. McMillan, and Cheryl A. Draper, brother, Tom Wilson, and sister, Betty Kern.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Walsh, daughters-in-law, Joan McMillan, Peggy McMillan; son-in-law, Marty Draper; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and the children and grandchildren of William Marvel, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10 am in Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 8140 Union Chapel Road, Indianapolis, where the Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon.
Beverly’s final resting place will be Lincoln Memorial Gardens, Whitestown, IN.
