Betty Sue (Wolfe) Streeter

It is with sadness that we share the news of Betty Sue Streeter’s passing. She suffered with a long illness until her final moments at home on May 28th. Born on Christmas Day in 1938 in Kokomo, IN to Eva Gladys and Arthur William Wolfe, Betty lived a life full of love and passion.

Graduating from Northwestern High School in Howard County, Indiana, Betty went on to work as an accountant in Kokomo and Carmel. But her true joy came from her many interests and hobbies. She was always there to help friends with wallpapering and decorating, her beautiful voice resonating in both Sweet Adeline’s and the church choir. And oh, how she loved to travel, expanding her horizons and embracing new experiences.

A devoted member of Carmel United Methodist Church for 55 years, Betty leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; and three cherished children, Julie Lynne (Ross) Houston, Jayne Elizabeth (Art) Enlow, and James Douglas (Jennifer) Streeter; 5 grandchildren, David Ross Houston, Kathryn Jayne (Keith) Gibson, Kyle William (Elli) Vanover, Brayden Douglas (Kathryn) Streeter, Cogan Zachary Streeter; and 3 great-grandchildren who will forever carry on her spirit and memories in their hearts.

Betty Sue Streeter will be remembered not only for her achievements but for the compassion and warmth she shared with everyone she met. May her legacy live on in the lives she has touched, forever and always.

Family and friends will gather at 11am on Friday, May 31, 2024 in Carmel United Methodist Church, 621 S. Rangeline Road, Carmel, IN 46032, where the Funeral Service will begin at 12:30pm.

A Committal Service will follow in South Union Cemetery, Kokomo, IN.
