Barbara Ann (Priller) Adams

Barbara Ann Adams, 85, of Plainfield, passed away May 22, 2021.  She was born December 17, 1935 in Indianapolis, daughter of Albert and Wilma (Patrick) Priller.

Before retiring in 2000, Barb worked as a transcriber for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.  She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Mooresville, where she volunteered and served in the Adoration Chapel. Because of Barb’s kind, loving and compassionate heart, it was natural for her to become a hospice volunteer. She was admired by everyone who knew her.

Barb enjoyed spending time outside walking, enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. She was an avid reader and appreciated meeting with her weekly Bible Study group. Barb was privileged to have had the opportunity to travel visiting Ireland and Germany. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Family was important to Barb as she also looked forward to visiting with aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Ann Barnes, and brother, Albert P. Priller.

Survivors include her sons, Bruce Adams (Theresa Gore) of Indianapolis, Paul Adams of Mooresville, Doug Adams of Mooresville and daughter, Julie (Steve) Barnes of Quincy; grandchildren, Shonna Barnes, Carl Barnes, Justin Adams, Joshua Adams, Devan (Crystal) Barnes, Shalynn (Nik) Anderson and Elizabeth Barnes; great-grandchildren, Jarod Barnes, Lilly Hunter, Colton Hunter, Dylan Barnes, Cayzen Anderson, Preslie Anderson, Olivia Adams and Kaisley Barnes.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 9:30 am in St. Ann Catholic Church, 6350 S. Mooresville Road, Indianapolis, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 am.

In memory of Barbara, contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st Street, #100, Indianapolis, IN  46240. Envelopes will be available at the church.
