Angela B. Tortorello, 93, of Carmel, IN, formerly of Allentown died on Monday, November 14, 2022. Born in Harrison, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Rose (Raccioppi) Tortoriello. Angela graduated from Harrison High School in 1946, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from St. Elizabeth University in 1950 and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 1952. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown and the National Association of Social Workers. Angela was a Social Worker for Catholic Charities and then in the Kinnelon School District for many years until retiring. During her retirement Angela spent many hours volunteering with Catholic Charities, the Ecumenical Food Bank, and in various ministries at St. Thomas More. She enjoyed cooking, playing golf, the beach, knitting, walking, and doing puzzles. She loved her family and friends dearly and her schnauzers. Angela truly was an angel here on earth.
Survivors: Nephews, Robert Tortorello, William Martino and his wife Beatriz, Michael Tortorello and Albert Tortorello and his wife Debbie; Great Nieces and Nephews; and Great-Great Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Siblings, Anthony, Angelo, Albert and John Tortorello; Nieces and Nephews, Rosemary Tortorello, Jane Ann Tortorello, Johnny Tortorello and Carol Tortorello; Great-Nephew, Michael Tortorello; and Lifelong Friends Dr. Patricia S. Murray and Alice M. McKenna.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, PA.
