Shirley Temple McLerran Woodrum, 77, of Carmel, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019. She was born May 9, 1942 in Moss, TN, daughter of Raymond and Nettie Z. Hix McLerran.
Shirley was a 1959 graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School, Indianapolis. She loved to cruise, cook and play euchre. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family. Shirley never knew a stranger and would do anything to help anyone. She had an infectious smile that radiated to everyone around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Lester Allsup; nephews, Marvin Allsup, Edwin Allsup and Jonathan R. McLerran.
Survivors include her children, Rickie J. Horton of Indianapolis, IN, Lynda J. (Mark) Callahan of Sheridan, IN, Lisa J. (Craig) Rinden of North Fort Myers, FL, and Kristin D. (Chris) Weiler of Zionsville, IN; grandchildren, Luke (Michelle) Callahan, Craig (Jamie) Callahan, Eric Callahan, Brandon Rinden, Brock Bishop, Kelsey Horton and Jennifer Fisher; great-grandchildren, Oliver Callahan, Parker Callahan, Hunter Callahan, Jane Callahan, Wyatt Poole and Rylan France; sister, Arcella Allsup; brothers, Coell McLerran and Duane (Lisa) McLerran; 6 nephews and 1 niece; and the love of her life, Phillip Alan Woodrum.
Family and Friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 12–4 pm in the Clay Township Government Center, 10701 College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46280.
