Samuel David Sever, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away September 28, 2018. He was born December 27, 1930, son of Kenneth Sever and Louanne Lace Huffman.
A veteran of the Korean War, Samuel was employed with International Harvester until his retirement. As a youth, he enjoyed roller skating and spent many hours at Riverside and Roller Land skating rinks.
Samuel was a talented artist and singer. He appreciated listening to big band music, especially Glen Miller. Samuel would also enjoy listening to his late wife playing the piano for the family.
In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Fern Huffman; wife, Janet Sever; two daughters, Deborah Schkoll and Sherry Schkoll.
Survivors include his children, Denise Rivera and David Sever; grandchildren, Alicia Schkoll, Emmanuel Jimenez, and Angel Orea.
Family and Friends will gather on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 12:00 noon in Calvary Tabernacle Church, 902 Fletcher Avenue, Indianapolis, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.
Samuel will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife in Floral Park cemetery with Military Honors.
