Robert E. Moore, 77, of Cicero, passed away December 1, 2018. He was born in Noblesville on September 28, 1941, son of Robert L. and Martha G. Smeltzer Moore.
Bob was raised on a farm in Westfield where he enjoyed working with animals and livestock. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Viet Nam.
On September 2, 1978, Bob and Denise Phillips were married. They shared a love for animals and through the years fostered and transported animals from different shelters and rescue facilities to find homes that would care for them. Bob held a license with both state and federal government to rehabilitate wildlife. He loved the outdoors and being in nature.
Bob enjoyed bowling as a Unified Partner with Jerry, his son and would travel in the Special Olympics games. The Special Olympics family was warm, welcoming and close friendships were developed over the years.
Bob loved his family and look forward to attending activities his grandchildren were involved in. He was kind, loving and had such a tender and compassionate heart. Bob will be missed not only by his family but everyone that knew him.
Survivors include his wife; Denise Moore; daughter, Janna (Ed) Bugliosi; sons, Jerry L. Moore, Woodford G. Moore, Graham G. (Tami) Moore and Brandon G. (Amy) Moore; grandchildren, Jaed and Bruno Bugliosi, Wesley and Haley Moore, Jordan, Hannah and Brandie Moore.
