Raymond E. Jensen, Sr., 82, of Carmel, passed away January 8, 2020 in his home surrounded by loving family. He was born December 16, 1937 in Evansville, IN to the late Raymond and Ruth (Stokey) Jensen.
Ray received his degree in Engineering and worked as Administrator of Product Planning at RCA, before retiring after 37 years of service in 1998.
Ray enjoyed flying small engine planes and was only a few hours away from acquiring his license. Other interests included swimming and diving, as well as boating with his family. He also played tennis with his son. As a little-known talent in his later years, Ray would begin singing a Vic Damone song in his beautiful singing voice.
Ray was the epitome of a true family man and will be greatly missed by his family.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Willman.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Ruth L. Jensen; children, Raymond E. Jensen, Jr., Claire E Jensen, Melody (Aaron) Reiff and Heather (Kyle) Willman; grandchildren, Chantel (Jeff) Mills, Tiffany Borshoff, Emma Kraft and Lily Willman; great-grandchildren, Mackenzy Wagner, Nathan Mills and Silas Mills; brothers, Edward Jensen and Michael Jensen.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, January 13, 2020 in Carmel First Baptist Church at 9:30 am where the Funeral Service will begin at 1 pm officiated by Pastor Kurt Larson.
Burial will take place in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
