Mitchell "Mitch" John Lindgren

Mitchell “Mitch” John Lindgren, 23, of Carmel, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019.  He was born December 15, 1995, son of John A. and Jacquelyn L. (Hoster) Lindgren.

Mitch was a 2014 graduate of Carmel High School. He played football in his senior year and his team achieved the title of state champion.  In 2019, Mitch graduated from Indiana University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Mitch was employed with Chrome Battery as a Controller.

If there was anything that would best describe Mitch, it would be his dedication to his family; his brother, Bear, was his best friend, and he always adored his older sister, Meghan.

Recently, Mitch found out he was going to be an uncle. His sister Meghan and her husband Greg are expecting their first child in July of 2020. He was so happy to learn the good news and certainly would have been the greatest uncle, but now will be the greatest guardian angel for them.

Mitch loved watching football with his father and Christmas movies with his mother. However, Zeus, his 100-pound German Shepherd, was his pride and joy. They were inseparable.

Mitch also enjoyed Notre Dame football and anything IU!! He was so proud to have gone to IU and even prouder to have been a Sigma Chi. Those who knew Mitch well, knew he possessed a big heart!!  He was ready to help anyone at any time.

Mitch will be sadly missed by many. His infectious laugh, giving heart, and the joy he had for his family will always be remembered. 

Survivors include cherished family; parents, John and Jackie Lindgren; brother, Bear Joseph Lindgren; sister, Meghan Marie (Greg) Sporre and Zeus, his beloved German Shepherd.

A private family gathering will take place at 5 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E Greyhound Pass, Carmel.
