Matthew James "Matt" Knuteson

Matthew James “Matt” Knuteson, 32, of Carmel, IN passed away March 5, 2019.  He was born August 5, 1986 in Bismarck, ND, son of James and Jean Thomas Knuteson.  Matt was a graduate of Carmel High School.

Matt enjoyed family camping get-togethers, time spent outdoors, boating on Oxbow Lake and was a big fan of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Matt played bass with a local band for a time and had special memories of their band tour to different parts of the country. Living with 5 guys out of a van while on that tour was a memorable experience.

During his 10 years working as a barista at Starbucks, Matt met lots of people and made several friendships along the way. He was a good guy, loved by many and known for his kind heart.

Matt was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents.

Survivors include his parents, James and Jean Knuteson; brother, Chris Knuteson; nephew, Dane Knuteson; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will take place Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2 pm in Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, 10500 E 126th Street, Fishers, IN 46038, where the Memorial Service will follow at 3 pm in the church.

In memory of Matt, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Hamilton County, 1721 Pleasant Street, Noblesville, IN 46060. Envelopes will be available at the church.
