Marilyn Wilson Obituary

Marilyn Carol Wilson, 74, of Greenwood, passed away July 3, 2019.  She was born on January 16, 1945 in Indianapolis, daughter of H.M. and Artus Dawson Arnot.

Marilyn attended George Washington High School and Speedway Beauty School.

Memberships in which Marilyn was actively involved, included Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and International Order of Job’s Daughters (PHQ of Bethel #38 & PGBHQ), where she received several awards and recognition. She was also a 50-year member of OES Corinthian Chapter #456.

Marilyn worked a variety of places through the years; however, her most recent position was owner of LAB, LLC (Lube-A-Boom).

As a poised and reverent personality, Marilyn also had the gregarious, fun and mischievous side, that when appropriate, sometimes came out when with family and friends. Marilyn enjoyed spending time reading.  She also liked to cook and bake, and because of her generous heart, she then would share those gifts with others.  Marilyn had the gift of compassion and was a true friend.  For many years, to her siblings, Marilyn was thought of as the “glue that held the family together.”

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Harley in 2016.

Survivors include brothers, Jack and wife, Lorna Arnot of Camarillo, CA, Joe and wife, Linda Arnot of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Elizabeth (Beth-Queenie) and husband, Steve Ritchie of Greenwood, IN; numerous nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews; a great-great nephew, and a dear friend, Pauline Davidson (Larry Walsh).

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or charity of choice.
