Lewis Charles "Pat" Young

Lewis Charles "Pat" Young, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away January 1, 2018.  He was born in Gouvenour, NY on December 14, 1924, son of Frank and Ruby Austin Young.

Pat proudly served his country as a US Marine from 1942-1945.

Pat was schooled in architecture and invented several items including an insulated prefab wall system, for which he received a patent. 

Pat was an avid hobbyist having built model boats and planes.

Pat was musically talented and enjoyed playing the harmonica and drums.

On November 19, 1977 Pat and Betty Jane were married and joined families.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jane Young; children, Coral (Darin) Siler, Kyle Stokes, Kevin (Betty) Young, Keely (Randy Tolliver, Curtis (Paula) Young, John (Terri) Beaman, and Bob (Penny) Beaman. survivors include 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, John Talley and sister, Katherine Wagner.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by 5 siblings; daughter, Becky Talley and son-in-law, Larry Stokes.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1 pm in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Chapel.
