Guelda (Ballard) Wallace, 93, of Sheridan, passed away December 11, 2019. She was born in Deming on July 22, 1926, daughter of Santford and Norma (Newby) Ballard.
Guelda was a graduate of Westfield High School. She married Loyd (Doc) Wallace on December 20, 1942 and was a devoted wife more than 63 years, before his death on May 20, 2006.
Family was of utmost importance to Guelda and she loved spending time with each one. Guelda was gifted in many areas which allowed her to have a variety of interesting hobbies.
In addition to her parents and husband, Guelda was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tracie Pynn; brothers, Hobart Ballard, Morris Ballard, and David Ballard; sisters, Geraldine Clark and Marillyn Guest.
Survivors include children, Marietta (Jim) Lambdin of Sheridan, Linda (Charles) Hughes of Westfield, Sheryl Harrison of Harvard, IL, Nancy (Harry) Jones of Noblesville and Richard (Vicki) Wallace of Westfield; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 10 am in Six Points Church,1545 W. 226th Street, Sheridan where the funeral service will take place at 12 noon.
Burial will follow in Crownview cemetery, Sheridan.
