Alexander Allison Obituary

Alexander A. “Al” Allison, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019. He was born June 5, 1954 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Harold L. Allison and Shirley Childers Hiott, who survives.

For several years, Al worked for Sears in Home Improvements.  He was gifted as a salesman and received several salesmanship awards during his employment.

Al was a car buff with his favorite car being the red Camaro SS.  He enjoyed attending the Mecum car auctions where he purchased cars, repaired them and thenresell.

As an avid golfer, Al was proud of winning a golf tournament several years ago.  Also, Al loved to cook with his favorite meal being the traditional steak, baked potato, and salad.  Al had a generous heart and would help anyone in need.  He liked to shop online and find good bargains.  Christmas was Al’s favorite Holiday, so it was not unusual to listen to Christmas music during the entire year.  He appreciated watching old western movies with John Wayne being one of his favorites.  Al also loved music, particularly the oldies and Southern Gospel.  He had a collection of old records that his dad had given him while he worked at RCA.

In earlier years, Al enjoyed working with his mother Shirley, at their Market Ripple Meats store.

In addition to his mother, Al is survived by his brother, Barry Allison and fiancee, Dorsella Webb.

Al will be greatly missed!
