Sean O'Connell Obituary

Sean Troy O’Connell, 61, of Noblesville, IN passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024. He was born August 26, 1962 in Hartford City, IN to Richard Lee and Delores Delight (Leech) O’Connell.

As a 1980 graduate of Blackford County High School, Sean continued his education at Ball State University, graduating in 1984. Sean began his employment with Kittle’s Furniture Store as a delivery driver, advancing into administration as a Dispo Coordinator, totaling 29 years of service. He was an example of commitment and strong work ethics with an impeccable perfect attendance. Sean also received multiple awards during his years of service.

Sean enjoyed watching sports on TV, including the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue, and tennis matches.  He spent time using his skills in woodworking projects, and listening to music from different eras. Spending quality time with his family was his greatest joy in life.

In addition to his parents, Sean was preceded in death by his brother, Todd O’Connell; and sister, Cornelia O’Connell.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Kelly Callahan O’Connell; children, Daniel (Taylor) O’Connell, Jennifer (Devon) Swenson, and Matthew O’Connell; 2 grandchildren, Marshall O’Connell and Payton Swenson; and siblings, Mike (Myra) O’Connell, Pat (Beth) O’Connell, and Pam (Dennis) Bolt; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended Callahan family.

Family and friends will gather at 10am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 4850 E Main Street, Carmel, IN 46033, where the Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon.

In memory of Sean, donations may be made to Magdalene - Cornerstone Lutheran Church.

Envelopes will be available at the church.
